The estimation of the compounds (photosynthetic pigments, phenolics) and activities of enzymes (nitrate reductase, water photooxidation complex) characteristic for plants, the measurement of photosynthetic electron transport rate, growth and water metabolism parameters; the estimation of soil water capacity and pH; the measurement of plant cells and organelles; the acquisition of basic statistical data analysis techniques.
